Construction on the George Sellar Bridge has started and the sidewalks are closed soon to all pedestrian traffic. This will force those people who usually walk across the bridge to take the Pipeline Pedestrian Bridge between Wenatchee and East Wenatchee, which may add considerable distance to their travel. Link has partnered with the WSDOT to provide free trips across the bridge for those who wish to walk during this time. To get a free trip, you must board the bus and deboard the bus at one of these stops:
This free service is being paid for by the WSDOT, and will be in effect for the majority of the time that construcion is taking place. For more information, call Guest Services at 662-1155. |
